The 2024 Historic Irish Tarmac Rally Championship will be sponsored by Sherwood Engines Ltd, starting with the season-opening Killarney Historic Rally on 2nd December.
The popular motorsport brand joined the championship as associate sponsors for the 2023 season but is now fully affiliated with the Historic series for its latest season.
Between them, Alan and Paul Sherwood have over 85 years of experience building and developing Ford-based motorsport powertrains.
Alan Sherwood built his first BD engine in 1971 and his knowledge is coupled with Paul Sherwood’s extensive experience running race teams in the USA. This partnership delivers quality products and services throughout a range of Sherwood Engines.
Killarney Historic Rally is set to provide a thrilling day of rallying with its deciding stage set to run in darkness. There have been plenty of sensational battles throughout ITRC’s Historic category in recent years and with another blockbuster entry of cars and crews expected, this year will set the same high standard.
