The Munster Car Club are delighted to announce that this years event will see a new title sponsor come onboard
in the form of well known Cork firm “Acesigns”. We would like to thank Neil Phelan of Acesigns for joining up with the
Cork 20 in this very special year – the event celebrating its Centenary event, the first event taking place in 1914.
The 2014 event will be titled the Acesigns Cork “20” International Rally 2014.
Of course Acesigns are no strangers to the world of rallying given the passion Neil Phelan has for the sport and the many competitors cars that bear the branding supplied by Acesigns and we would urge all to continue their support to them.
The event will once again be based in the town of Millstreet. Following the success and positive feedback from the competitors who competed on the 2013 event along with the support of the local community, the event will be centred around the Green Glens Complex in a similar format to the 2013 event. Changes to the 2014 event will include a substantial increase in the actual stage mileage to approx. 260km competitive stage mileage over the course of the 2 days whilst maintaining it compactness and low road mileage, competing on some of the classic Cork 20 stages, offering fantastic value for money.
The Cork 20 is a long standing stallwart of the rallying scene both home and abroad, its place in history being the 2nd oldest rally in existance behind the Monte Carlo rally so given the truly historic nature of the event celebrating its centenary we would urge all competitors to get involved and share what promises to be a truly classic rally by entering the 2014 event.
Further details will be release shortly with the publication of the event Rally guide.
The club would like to put on record its sincere thanks to Brian & Doreen Stinson of Orchard Motorsport who have underpinned the event in recent years as both associate and title sponsors for which the club are very grateful.
