From the Hills of Donegal to the flat lands of Ypres, sounds like a line from a ballad however that is where Sam Moffett and Karl Atkinson find themselves this week.
After what can only be described as a titanic battle with Brother Josh in Donegal, Sam drove superbly on Sunday to take top championship points and go one point ahead in the standings.
The pair now have the opportunity to show their pace in Ypres at the wheel of an official M-Sport WRC Team Fiesta R5.
Sam commented, “It’s fantastic to get the opportunity to compete here in Ypres against the top drivers in both the British and Belgian rally championships, especially driving an M-Sport Fiesta and of course with the backup M-Sport will provide. We didn’t get a chance to test the car and with Ypres being so different to what I am used to at home, it will certainly be a learning curve.”
Shakedown and qualifying take place on Thursday evening with the rally proper beginning on Friday morning.
