Moffet Brothers Dominate Lakeland Stages

Clonakilty Black Pudding ITRC contenders and brothers, Sam and Josh Moffett fought out a start to finish battle on the Lakeland Stages this weekend. When the final results were released after eight superb stages they were tied on time. After some deliberation Sam was declared the winner. Throughout this year the brothers have set the ITRC stages alight with their beat my sibling at all costs attitude with very little between them on the majority of stages.

With 22 points separating the first six in the ITRC and 24 available for a win in Cork then, all be it a long shot, any one of the top six could be crowned the next tarmac champion. In reality the fight is between Fisher and Cronin, but Sam has the pace to live with them, if a little less consistent at times, he will certainly be there to pick up the pieces should Fisher and Cronin hit problems. Whatever the outcome in Cork, 2016 will be remembered as the year that the ITRC came back to life.

Roll on Cork, no matter who is crowned champion, be sure there will be one serious party at the beginning of October.
