2013 Irish Tarmac Championship Congratulations & Acknowledgements

On behalf of the Chairman and Directors of the T.R.O.A we would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the 2013 Irish Tarmac Rally Champions Garry Jennings and Kevin Flanagan. These two men battled all year in different cars but are most deserving winners. Garry has proved year on year what a talented driver he is but never took the top prize until now. His flamboyance on the stages, his courtesy to organisers and fans alike is something of note, Indeed a championship is a team effort and there is no mistaking the efforts that the team have put in this past season to get him to the finish and his just reward.

Kevin Flanagan who partnered Donagh Kelly this year has proved that a championship is not won on one or two rounds and this pairing have been at the forefront of the Irish Tarmac Championship all year. Kevin a man who loves his motorsport has really come to fore as one of Irelands top Co-Drivers and in winning the Championship gets the reward he deserves.

In the Modified Championship there were surprise winners in the Killarney pairing of Noel O’Sullivan and Nicky Burke who against all the odd’s came out on top. This crew have travelled all over the country and come out as champions ed-trio.com/buy-cialis-online something I am sure they will cherish. It just goes to show the Irish Modified Challenge is not over until the final control of the last round.

On the Historic scene the winners of this Year’s Irish Historic Rally Championship are James O ’Mahony and Kerrie Barry in their unusual Volvo. This crew have showed great determination and spirit to take the victors laurels.

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank all registered competitors for the courtesy shown, and the willingness to help bring the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship forward, You are the real heroes of Irish rallying. A special word goes to all organising clubs and C.O.C’s for putting on what can only be described as the best rallies in the country if not further afield. We look forward to seeing you all again next year and some more crews signing up. We start the 2014 Championship in December for the Killarney Historic Rally with the Main and Modified Championship getting underway in Galway.

See you all in the Stormont Hotel Belfast on the 2nd November for our gala awards dinner. Tickets for this are available from Ger Seaman Championship Manager on the details provided below.
